The Parish has been here since the 13th century, when it was called South Morden, with mostly arable farming and fruit production as its principal activity. Today the village is a thriving community with a highly regarded primary school and lots going on.
The village hall is at the centre of village life and hosts many different activities and clubs. For recreation there’s an active cricket club, bowls on the superb green, lunch club, amateur dramatic society, air scout group, pre-school group and even a writers circle.
Steeple Morden is 40 miles north of London and just 12 miles, south west of Cambridge. The local station is at Ashwell, just a few miles away through the pretty Hamlet of Odsey.
